About BuildPC
BuildPC is a free, independent tool for planning a desktop PC. It suggests a starting build for your use, checks that the parts work together, and points you to stores in your region so you can compare real prices yourself.
What we stand for
Free to use. No account, no subscription and no paywall. The planner works without AI; the optional Google Gemini helper only turns your description into planner settings.
No affiliate links. We do not earn a commission when you buy a part, so recommendations are not shaped by which store pays the most. Store links are plain searches.
Sourced specifications. Every part links to its manufacturer’s page. When a manufacturer does not publish a figure, such as a cooler’s memory clearance, BuildPC says so and asks you to check instead of guessing.
Honest limits. BuildPC does not track live prices or stock, and its compatibility checks are not a guarantee. The parts library is deliberately small and verified rather than large and unchecked.
What BuildPC covers today
The library holds 42 verified parts across AMD and Intel platforms, with free starter builds for office work, gaming, video editing and local AI, each in a standard and a small Mini-ITX size. It grows as new parts are verified.
